O’Malley: Huh? Education?
Governor Martin O’Malley has told businesses in Maryland that we need to once again change the unemployment insurance rules in order to get more federal dollars. This is of course, in spite of the fact that Maryland businesses are about to see another HUGE tax increase because the unemployment insurance fund is nearly empty. Of course, it’s nearly empty because O’Malley expanded coverage to part time workers.
But he’s claiming we need to make another change in order to get more federal dollars.
However, when it comes to changing laws regarding charter schools or tracking teacher performance in order to get more education funding, that’s a bride too far. Yeah, the State-Stat guy doesn’t want to track teacher performance. Why? Cause that would piss off the teacher’s union.
And the Governor doesn’t want to make it possible for charter schools to compete with public schools. Why? Come on, the education establishment doesn’t want competition from the private sector. Who would? Perhaps parents… perhaps students that are losing out on opportunities…
O’Malley thinks we have plenty of charter schools … but you can tell the Governor is disengaged in reality because his fan club talks about one of the highest performing schools in Maryland is going to close down if they don’t change the rules because costs are too high.
Hey Governor, pay attention.
Once agin not that big a deal. $60b ain’t cat **** in the grand scheme of things. Their pals in the gulf will let them swing in the wind for awhile until they ride to the rescue. Then they’ll buy the mess for .40 on the dollar, sell it for .80 in a few years and all will be well. It’s the American way. American corporations have market caps bigger than their debt. And don’t worry if all else fails the Chinese are just dying to help and that’s why the other countries in the region will save them. A $3.5b bond due next month? Get Mr. Buffett on the line. Everybody knew this was coming. I’ve been calling Dubai, Goodbye for months.
If Dubai had been allowed to buy American ports just think of the national security risk when they would be forced to sell them off. Chinese, al Queada, Russians, Taliban, French and george Soros all competing for who can ruin our defenses first.
And who was all for Dubai Ports……their friend in the White House George W. “Bandar” Bush.
Why do you think his approval rating was so low. It was just another of his liberal stands that prove once and for all that liberalism doesn’t work. A decent candidate and we could have beaten Obama and really started dismantling the welfare state. Social Security is job one and the liberal media better keep their mouth shut and their coverage balanced.

Greg life is good with a ballcap with 0-9 egg on it with a pony tail, wondering around and the troops, say OMG……….Sir, I smile , laugh and put thenm on ease and ask easy questions, whats good? whats Not……Listen………But Greg…Nothing like coming into the Senior Officer’s Mess , with the CO, and the Battle Groups Commander a Rear……..and being introuduced, Vice Admiral Arriving, with 200 Officers standing….And I said , Wow John is your Co, Stan, is now a Admiral, and I am just hear with my Wife and Son to eat dinner, and You Officers , are doing a Great Job with my Ship! My Son when I ran a few Airports a few years ago , used to embarrass me when. I would visit, he was 5yrs old and would say My dads the Boss, I need a Hot dog! I wanted to kill the 5 yr old………Greg , now he says Dad holly ………..my wife is still beside her words ….Greg Exxon Mobil yes AVCC…………Move on!
